Refacing

What is Refacing?

We first remove and discard your existing cabinet doors, drawers, hinges, and face frames (these are solid face frames that your doors are hinged onto). Then we install new solid wood face frames on to your existing cabinets.

WE DO NOT SIMPLY COVER YOUR EXISTING CABINETS WITH A THIN VENEER. WE COMPLETELY PULL OFF THE EXISTING FACE FRAMES AND REPLACE THEM WITH ¾" SOLID WOOD. Custom made solid wood drawer fronts and solid wood raised panel doors are custom fit to each opening and then hinged with European Hidden Hinges to the cabinets. White Melamine drawer boxes with self-closing European drawer guides are then installed for smooth running drawers. Even the fronts of your existing shelves are banded with the same matching solid wood that your kitchen is refaced in. Impressive crown moulding provides a nice custom look.

A complementing stain and full-finish provides just the right finishing touch and serves to protect your new kitchen. Since we reface exactly in the same process as new cabinets are made, there is no way to tell that you did not replace them with new custom cabinets.

Why Reface?

Custom cabinet refacing costs only a fraction, 50-65% of the what it does to put in new custom cabinets. Too, there is no need to replace your counter tops for we are able to reface your cabinets without affecting them. (We also do stone counters if you so desire.) In addition, when you reface there is no need to replace your existing appliances, as we work or rework the face frames around them. If you choose to replace your appliances, no problem! We can make the new frames to fit your new appliances perfectly! No unsightly filler pieces that degrade the looks of your kitchen. If you are happy with the general layout of your kitchen then save with refacing. Or just reface half of the kitchen while you completely change the layout of the other half with new cabinets. We can do it all.
